Newsletter | January 2010 edition

Dear Luis Miguel,

We had quite a 2009 at MuleSoft. Last year brought the introduction of three new products to MuleSoft – Tcat Server, Mule Data Integrator, and the new open source iBeans for integrating web applications. In addition, we made significant improvements to Mule ESB, introducing several feature releases, a new Mule IDE and a high availability module for Mule ESB Enterprise. I’m very proud of what the MuleSoft development team has accomplished in the past year, and I continue to believe that the Mule community is among the best in open source.

But the best is not behind us – 2010 is already proving to be an exciting year. To start, we will be making a new product announcement in the JMS messaging space in just a few days, so stay tuned. In addition, we are making exciting progress on our next major community release, Mule ESB 3.0, which will include dramatic improvements in the simplicity of development, deployment, and management of Mule. Mule ESB 3.0 leverages the work that we have done in creating the open source iBeans project, which helps developers integrate their web applications with enterprise and web-based data sources and services. In the coming months you will see us continuing to drive iBeans into new and interesting areas.

In short, MuleSoft will spend 2010 building toward our Web Middleware vision – making it dead-simple for developers and IT administrators to build, deploy, and run connected web applications both in the datacenter and in the cloud.

Thank you for a phenomenal 2009. Here’s to an even better 2010!

Cheers,
Ross Mason
